Rival Cafe

Cafe Rival

Last month I went to Stockholm in Sweden. Their food is well known for having odd combinations and a lot of fish (herring in particular) so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect.

We visited the Rival Cafe, part of the hotel and bar that is owned by Benny from Abba. This was the main reason we decided to visit. But on arrival we noticed that it wasn’t just tourists or people who were staying at the hotel in there. There was a large amount of Swedish locals eating and drinking their morning coffee.

Harvey Nichols

Cocktails

Cocktails on the 5th Floor of Harvey Nichols.

This was my first visit to the Champagne bar on the 5th floor, and I was not disappointed.
For my first drink I chose the Marshmallow martini from their menu- they use homemade marshmallow infused Absolut vodka, and lemon juice creating a slightly sweet but sharp cocktail.

Drop Drinks

Drop Drink

Drop is a new drink released onto the market in January 2011 by Mount Valley. The flavour is pear drop, like the popular sweet that reminds me of my childhood. I found out about this drink through a friend and as I love pear drops contacted drop drinks offering to review their drink for them.
